Appearance: Ulquiorra’s physical appearance might be
considered rather unimpressive. He’s one of the short, almost
dwarfed by the towering giants like White beard. He is average height with
below average build. His body is thin, his limbs long
and slender. Unlike others with obvious physical strength, no one would
think that Ulquiorra’s slim and leanly muscled frame would hide
incredible strength and skill.

In some respects, Ulquiorra is
probably one of the odder looking members of Espada. While in some
stretch of mind or imagination, a few of them could pass for something
akin to ‘normal’, Ulquiorra is anything but. His skin is ashen, white
with a grayish tone to it that is rather corpse-like in its paleness.
His hair is a flat black colour, rather short and a little choppy
looking. His eyes are another odd feature, at least apart from others,
as they are almost dead-looking, down right soulless and blank. The
deep green hues almost seems to reflect nothing of either the world
around him or the world within his mind. Beneath each dark rimmed eye
is a green streak going straight down his cheek to his jaw, giving the
illusion of tears. His upper lip is black, while the lower one remains
as pallid as the rest of him. This tends to only add to his
expressionless look, as even the slightest move of said lips is far
more obvious, and yet they remain in a perpetual line, curving neither
up nor down. Along with the odd marks on his face, Ulquiorra also has
black fingernails, which make the rare movement of his hands a bit more
exaggerated.

Personality:Misconceptions abound when it comes to the pale one. Some think that, because of his appearance and his apathetic
expression, that he is hiding inner turmoil and horrible feelings of
sadness and depression.

This is not so. Ulquiorra Schiffer is
anything but an emotional roller coaster. When he has a goal, he
accomplishes it, without a moment’s hesitation and without the
slightest deviation. He is precise, particular, and to the point in all
of his dealings. Ulquiorra believes that things like feeling and
emotion are simple wastes of time (and he sometimes violently chastises
himself anytime he catches himself ‘feeling’ anything).

Biography:Ulq was born to a rich family in Shell Town.
When he was young, he looked up to the marines and hoped to join them
one day. His father was often gone on "business". His mother told him
that his father was a traveling merchant, when, in reality, he was the
pirate Bakudan, who was infamous for his mastery of Guns. His
workshop, which was built in a forest about 10 miles away from Shell
Town, was where he created his masterpieces and stored his weaponry. He
was a successful pirate, who would make up for the lack of time he
spent with his family by sending them the money he made at sea.

One day, when Ulq was 12, the Marines caught word of where his workshop was, and sent several marines to
investigate. They found the pirate working on a new type of Gun. Before they could even try to arrest him, one of
the marines decided to throw a still lit cigarette butt in a random
direction, causing an explosion that destroyed everything for several
miles. The only thing to survive the explosion was a large, dirty safe.


After receiving word of his death, Ulq's mother decided to
tell him the truth about his father. This broke Ulq's heart, and made
him deeply hate the Marines. She finished by telling him about the
safe. It was that one sentence that changed Ulq's life. He badgered
his mother until she told him where the workshop was, and then left in
the middle of the night to find the safe. Of course, he had always had
a terrible sense of direction, and wandered for days before finding the
wreckage and the safe.

He easily pried the damaged safe open,
and inside he found a mountain of papers. The papers contained
everything from explosive recipes to mindless doodles. Under all of the
papers was a gun. Ulq picked them up, and stuck to
one of them was a note. The note was a sloppy will written by Bakudan
stating that should anything happen to him, he wanted his son to carry
on the pirate trade.

Ulq grabbed the hookswords and as many
important papers as he could, and trekked back home. After being
scolded by his mother, he showed her the note. She crumpled the note up
like she had never even read it, and told him to go outside. She didn't
want him to become a pirate. However, he spent the next 5 years
studying his father's explosive and gun designs, and learned to create a few
minor explosives and guns. He also became mildly talented with his father's Gun.

His mother soon came to accept his choice, but she
still didn't like it. When he thought he had learned enough, he packed
his bags and set out to join a pirate crew.

said with a laughter. His words didn't make sense but he did make a full point they had to go on that ship.
